National Champions from Hawai'i

Congratulations to Edwin and Charlotte Bugarin, the first Amateur Couple from Hawai'i to win a National Championship Title in Latin American dancing.
Ed and Charlotte took first place at the USA Dance National Championships this past weekend in Baltimore, MD in the Senior III Latin Championships (Samba, Cha Cha, Rumba, Paso Doble and Jive)
They won by placing 2nd in the Samba and 1st Place in the other dances. They are coached by Mr. Carlos Chang.
There were 7 couples in this final from New York, California, Tennessee, Texas and Massachusetts.
Calvin and Debra Ota took the 6th place in this event.
Glenn Okazaki and Anne Ho placed 3rd in the Amateur Senior II Standard division (Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Slow Foxtrot and Quickstep). This event started with 18 couples. The six finalists were from Hawai'i, Arizona, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota and Ohio.
Michael and Lorrie Chun competed in the Senior II and Senior III Bronze Standard Waltz and Quickstep events. They placed 10th out of 13 couples in the Senior II and 8th out of 12 couples in the Senior III

Well Done and Congratulations to all four couples from Hawai'i. Your participation and results makes Hawai'i proud.
